How Geeky Am I? This Geeky.
I found this the other day. Yes, it is the first issue of the Alf comic book:

Not much could be worse than that, right? Incorrect. I flipped the comic over, and found this ad:

I was hungry for more. Google Image Search, what do you have for us?

Ah, yes. An Italian cat chewing on the Potato Chip Popple. Priceless.

OMG! I seem to have missed the Popples thing, but I sure do remember Alf. Never knew he had his own comic book though. That thing's probably (or someday will be) worth a fortune, GH!
Alf is the coolest thing ever and his comic book is even cooler! Plus now Alf is on DVD
Could this be a conspiracy? Alf ate cats and the cat is attacking the Popple. Maybe Alf hates Popples? Or this could be a bizarre Italian version of Popple porn ;)
carroll: i think the only way that Alf #1 would be worth ANYTHING is if the Virgin Mary somehow appeared on the cover. or, on the other end of the theological spectrum, if Paris Hilton sat on it.
jess: you raise an interesting point. and thank you for making me think about Popple Porn, btw. i'll get you for that.
That post was strangely satisfying, Senor Hobo. Just know that I can go geek for geek with you. Magic Cards? Oh yeah. Spiderman bedspread? For sure. Unnerving love of Final Fantasy games? Sheesh.
That said: I hated Alf. I have no idea why.
Well, if you look closely at the "pointer" finger of his right paw...oh wait...my mistake...that's clearly Elvis!
I'll give you $1 million for it right now! ALF is gold baby, GOLD!
bm: i also kinda loathe alf. but i loathe him in the same way that i despise mr. belvedere. it's a fond, nostalgic sort of hate.
carroll: i dunno, i heard that he left the building...(sorry, i got nothin')
san nakji: is that in new zealand dollars? how much is that in US currency? is it enough to buy a DeLorean? i really want one of those.
It's about a buck fifty... is that enough?
